On our first visit to the San Diego Museum of art we approached a desk that appeared to have a few docents behind and asked to you have any art by Miro. Within Moments a highly informed individual escorted our family to both a painting by Miro and then a fine sculpture. We were given additional information about the painting and also escorted to several nearby works that my children might also be interested in. The friendliness of the museum combined with the knowledge of the staff, made us quickly love the place.
We also toured two temporary exhibits. The most memorable one was that of the artist Henri and his paintings from Spain. The exhibit was very family friendly and had a great area where adults and children could illustrate a postcard in the style of Henri and then send it in a mailbox.
